Chem-Aqua, Inc. Presented the IDEA 2021 Unsung Hero Award

IRVING, Texas (USA) – Chem-Aqua is honored to have our very own Pat Guccione receive the International District Energy Association's (IDEA) 2021 Unsung Hero Award. The Unsung Hero award recognizes an IDEA member who has performed above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the industry and the association, without requiring or seeking recognition for his or her efforts. This is only the fifth (5th) time in IDEA's 115 year history that the award has been given.

I accepted this award on behalf of Chem-Aqua and in particular our Engineering and Compliance groups who help put together white papers and guideline telling the college and university community how to protect their buildings and infrastructure during the COVID-19 Pandemic shutdown. This is included how to properly shut down and lay-up both systems and equipment as well as how to bring them back online and recommission them. Pat Guccione, Chem-Aqua Special Projects

Chem-Aqua hosted several well attended webinars on this topic and published a comprehensive article in “District Energy” which is the journal of the IDEA.
